Service has always been at the heart of Custom Commodities Transport. In 1985, David Lee Stevenson started the company with a unique understanding of what Service means.
David Lee recognized early on that Service could mean more than providing exceptional effort for the Customer. He knew that real success was built in partnerships, and he wanted to balance what he received from Partners with what he could give back. The business can have an impact for good on the Communities in which we live and work. Since those early days, he prioritized giving back to his Partners, supporting local communities, and caring for the environment. #CustomCares is a result of that effort and a testament that Service has always been heart of the organization.
Today, Custom Commodities Transport is 10 terminals strong employing 300 Professionals with a lot of runway ahead of us! With strategically planned growth, we’ve had the opportunity to contribute and give back to various areas & efforts. Our community support and commitment to a cleaner environment have served our Partners by providing opportunities, enhancing education, promoting healthy living, and advocating through industry sustainability and accountability programs.
From infrastructure & business development to school & community investment to clean air and water initiatives, we’re committed to much more than trucking. We know that our Professional Drivers live and belong to these communities. Our children populate the schools, we are members of local churches and service clubs, and our grandparents reside in nearby rest homes. It’s an honor to serve these communities and we look forward to ongoing and additional partnerships.
Our Mission Statement says that we will be a Benchmark in “Service, Support, and Safety” – and we’re honored to extend that Benchmark status by serving our communities, providing philanthropic support and helping people, families, and the environment with unmatched opportunities, practical care, & ongoing, focused support!

As we challenge ourselves to pursue a more sustainable future, we are focused on integrating our People and Business into mutually beneficial relationships with public servants, government agencies, and programs that represent the industry’s cutting-edge sustainability efforts.
Our partnerships with nonprofits, agencies, and industry accountability associations extend the strength of our business, focusing on areas that allow us to have the greatest impact like forging strong career paths for our People, investing in the highest value benefits for our Families, developing solutions that reinforce sustainable supply chains, supporting local causes like access to after-school kids’ clubs, partnering with public servants, and contributing to local charities… all bolstering the local economies and communities.
Since 2020, Custom Commodities Transport and our #CustomCares brand have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in sustainability tools and programs, community partnerships, and nonprofit groups with tangible missions to assist families, communities, air & water…
